Guest’s ‘Inappropriate’ Outfit on Cooking Show Sparks Viewer Outrage: ‘It Keeps Slipping
Viewers of Saturday Kitchen were distracted from the recipes this weekend when guest chef Kate Carter-Larg wore what some labeled an “inappropriate” outfit while cooking.
In a later social media response, Kate expressed her disbelief that fans were angry.
Over in St Andrews, UK, the owner of The Cheesy Toast Shack appeared with their husband Sam Larg to dish up some mac and cheese.
Kate Carter-Larg, 49, has set tongues wagging this morning after the guest chef on yesterday’s Saturday Kitchen wore an attire that some questioned was kitchen-appropriate


Yet what she decided to wear — a lowcut strapless top with jeans and a brown belt – became the centre stage of fans who bustled over to social media for some criticism.
“She really changed into this top to cook?! I LOVE “one guest dressed for summer” … Kate just returned from a night out?’ another said on X, previously known as Twitter. ”
However, if her top fell down, I simply will not be able to concentrate on the show. Another wrote: “It’s slipping so she’s pulling and tugging it.
Her choice of a strapless, low-cut top sparked a flurry of comments, with some saying they “can’t concentrate on the show”


A third said, “I know… inappropriate dress code,”
“Wardrobe situations can certainly take the focus away from the actual show,’ another penned. I said, ‘Hopefully it gets sorted out quickly for everyone else, and that includes her.
Kate, though, wasted no time making the moment a bit more humorous herself by posting on Instagram with a cheeky reply referencing the Daily Mail piece covering her look.
“Wardrobe issues can take attention away from the show itself,” read one comment


In the video, the chef had been shown mock reading out some of the hate comments. In the caption, she also announced that she’d keep wearing what looked like someone living at the beach’.
“In regards to the frankly INSANE Daily Mail ‘piece’ yesterday after our little business landed some national TV, and all the silly comments that ensued,” she wrote in her story.

After the show, the Instagram page for The Cheesy Toast Shack shared Kate and her husband thanked viewers for watching.
